I have been a Junior Sister on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Cambridge since 2007. For the past five years I have also been responsible for the updating and development of new clinical guidelines pertaining to the clinical care of sick preterm and term neonates. More recently I have become a Neonatal Neurocritical Care Nurse, attending specific training to support the nursing care of term and preterm infants with brain injury, babies undergoing neurosurgery and neuromonitoring. I am currently working as the research nurse on the Foton study, looking at 3d imaging of blood volume and oxygen in the brain using optical tomography.
